Four Springs Report 13/4/2012

Jim and I headed out to Four Springs Lake on Friday, arriving there just before lunchtime.
It looked promising with a bit of chop on the water, but there were only a couple of boats on the lake and they said they weren’t catching anything.

Moorlands Beach

We fished Moorlands Beach on Sunday fishing from 10am till 6pm finding it a tough day, coming off a week of daddy day care I was up for a challenge and took the strong northerly on it's stride only to land 1 flat head at 2pm of 29cm.  Fishing beside a gutter I kept my hopes high as the tide started to rise a bit and my burley  trial started to bring in the fish.

Coastal Catches 13/4/2012

Well we certainly had some interesting weather over Easter with Friday night being the pinnacle of extremes. We had a few phone calls on Saturday morning regarding broken tent poles and ripped tent fly’s. Spare a thought for the Father and Son who spent the night on top of Black Bluff. There experience was character building!

MAST and Boat dealers at Agfest

Boating in Tasmania continues to grow at an astounding rate with the recent “Boatwise” publication being sent to in excess of 50,000 Tasmanian boaties. This means around 10% of the population are involved directly in boating by way of either owning a boat or holding a licence.

Weymouth Easter 2012

We were invited to Weymouth for a couple of days over the Easter break to stay at a friend’s shack. The plan was to go after some flathead on the first day and a Mako the next. We arrived about lunch time on Friday and got the gear ready.

Little Lake Report 6/4/2012

We headed up to Little Lake Good Friday with Mike Stevens for a short and sharp little session.
Fished with Dales "Yep" hardbodies and Berkley T- Tails.
We landed a dozen, keeping ten for Easter fare.
Egg n Bacon rolls, freshly cooked trout, coffee, and a couple of scotchs "onsite", capped off a great afternoon.

Coastal Catches 5/4/2012

Easter has arrived again and the weather is looking reasonable for the break. There is a little bit of rain forecast but there should be no reason to not go fishing.

Four Springs Report 3/4/2012

As stated in my previous Four Springs Report, I headed back to Foursey's today with the fly rod.
Hopes were high that I would be in for a good day as we had plenty of cloud cover and humidity to spark a hatch.
