Great Lake and Lake Augusta West 7/11/2011

Alan Donohue, Bailey, Jack Seabourne and myself fished at the Great Lake on Saturday afternoon in very bright sunny conditions and landed a few nice browns, Dale Howard wanted us to try a new softie for him which is a 2.5 inch black & gold paddle tail called “Devils tongue”, and it worked well in the Great Lake and in Augusta, catching several trout.

Lake Leake Report 6/11/2011

Apart from yesterday afternoon (where the wind got a bit wild for a time), it was fantastic weather for camping.
Fly fishing “early morning” seems to be the best bet here at the moment, although President Jim was talking to a fellow camper who had a great day a fortnight ago on duns in the Big Timber area around midday, where he landed 7.

Four springs Report 01/11/2011

We fished Four Springs for a couple of hours this afternoon, wind was a pain in the bum, coming in from all directions.
Hardly any Duns on the water, 4 cars in the car park and balls of algae are starting to appear throughout the lake, especially at the southern end.

Arthurs Lake and Great Lake Report 22/10/2011

After working afternoon shift Friday night- got an early knock off and headed straight to the Great Lake to stay, ready for an early start to fish Arthurs Lake on Saturday morning.

Arthurs Lake Report 22/10/2011

We went up to Arthurs Lake on Saturday with Bailey and his mate Jack Shennan. We intended to have a fish from the shore at Cowpaddock bay as Dale told me they were catching some nice fish in that area, but it was like “tent city” with people camping everywhere.

Little Lake Report 21/10/2011

Trev didn't want to go to school today (lol), so Mike Stevens and myself decided to take him to Little Lake to see if we could help him catch is first fish on a fly. Well, he achieved that before we even wet our lines and were standing around having a prefish coffee!

Great Lake Report 16/10/2011

It’s me again with a report from the Great Lake today.
Bailey & I went to the Nineteen Lagoons to fish a couple of lakes that I haven't fished for a few years but it was blowing a “bloody gale” so we decided to fish the Great Lake from the shore using softies.

Four Springs 14/10/2011

President John Dekkers and myself headed out to Four Springs this morning armed with fly rods and (in my case) "limited ability" as usual.!!
We decided against getting up early,... instead choosing gentlemen's hours to attack our fishy friends.

Great Lake Report 25/9/2011

I was invited to join Dale and Trevor Howard in the Highlands and spent a fantastic day on the water with them. We arrived at the Swan Bay around 11am and soon had the Express Cavalier pointed in the direction of our first destination. This shoreline fished very slow, so we shot over to another area which usually produces some good specimens and we soon had 4 nice Browns in the boat within about 20mins. We caught these on YEP Minnows in the Gold Bomber colour and Black & Gold Flappers.
