Here's my 2015/16 trout season report & stats.... This was the third best season that I've had since moving to Tasmania.. It was a pretty good season considering how dry it was here in Tassie, I reckon I did the right thing by concentrating on the two rivers that have a regulated environmental flow on them all throughout the year. They were the Mersey & Meander Rivers. The ** Dasher river which is close to home always fishes well early season and a day after a dose of 20 mms or more later in the season. The fish weren't over large this season as the rivers are still recovering from the dry seasons and the influx of cormorants we had three years ago. But they are on the way back which is good..

Arthurs Lake Report 22/10/2011

We went up to Arthurs Lake on Saturday with Bailey and his mate Jack Shennan. We intended to have a fish from the shore at Cowpaddock bay as Dale told me they were catching some nice fish in that area, but it was like “tent city” with people camping everywhere.

Longford fishing club must have had a comp on there, along with other anglers from all over the place.
We talked to two fisho’s and they had 30 trout on Thursday & Friday caught close in on softies, but we found on most of the shores, the boys could not wade as water was too high.
We then decided to go to Little Lake as Dale and Trev had a good day there last Thursday, so off we went.
Had a good afternoon catching 15 brownies on softies and hard bodies, keeping half a dozen and releasing the rest.
Some fish were a bit lean on and some not real pink, but others were in good nick and really red inside, the boys had a good day, especially Jack who hasn't caught many trout before, he loved it up there.
