Swan River Report 1/1/2013

The weather has finally given me the motivation to go for a fish; Trev was pretty keen to give the bream a go as well, so we headed off to the Swan River to give them a go. We arrived there around 11.30 this morning to a slight breeze and soon had the boat on the water.

Lake Leake Report 25/10/2013

Well, with a few calm days on our hands. We were hoping we might have stirred up a few fish. We stirred them up alright, just not enough to jump on to our lures! With follow after follows, no such luck.

Four Springs 28/10/2013

I took Bailey out to Four Springs Lake after school today as he hasn't wet a line for a while. He fished up the eastern shore north of the ramp and got a small rainbow in the first ten minutes. He released it not long after that he landed a nice fat rainbow around the 3lb mark. He had a few hits and boils as well, but not hooking up - then disaster struck - his bail arm on his reel snapped. He snapped too - would have got a few more I reckon.

Lake Leake Fishing Report October 2013

Lake Leake has had its fair share of wet, wild and windy days since my last report, with over 5 inches of rain, filling up the lake. Many boats have come back in without a trout, while others have put in the time and caught one or two, nice average trout around the 2 pound mark.

Mersey River 11/10/2013

Given that we were finally gifted with a fine and warmer day and the fact that it hasn't rained in four or five days I decided to give the Mersey River a spin. So after lunch I headed off to the Union Bridge near Mole Creek in pretty good conditions apart from a strong westerly breeze.

Little Pine 12/10/2013

John Fordham and myself decided to head up the lakes mid friday afternoon, plenty of wind forcast along with a few showers. Hopefully we should find somewhere sheltered to have a flick. We arrived at Dereks Shack, unloaded the gear and went for a drive to check out some possibles. We came back to the shack and settled down for the night, watched TV and some video’s and decided we would head for Little Pine.
