Alvey Roof Rack Rod Holders

Carrying  fishing rods in a bull bar style rod holder can be distracting to the driver of the vehicle.
The NEW Alvey Rod Holders are attached to the ends of your cross bar roof rack system. This keeps your rod and reel combos rigged ready to fish on the side of the vehicle.
Easy to get at to go fishing , no vision impairment to the driver . For highway driving or beach driving the rods and reels are secure and easy to reach from the side of the vehicle. Strap rods on to the holders with Alvey Rod wraps .
Rod holders can be fitted to roof rack crossbars in minutes. The wider Holder goes on the back Crossbar and the smaller Holder goes on the front Crossbar.
Ideal for trips to the Hardware to pick up pipes or long timber lengths.
Two styles are available, one to suit the Heavy Duty Crossbar and one  to suit the Sports Style Crossbar .
RRP of a pair of holders is $ 59.25

Media release - AMEC (Australian Marine Engine Council)

The attached media release - released by the AMEC (Australian Marine Engine Council) yesterday - is extremely important for all in our industry. It details an update from Federal Environment Minister Greg Hunt, which takes Australia a step closer to adopting Emissions Standards for outboard engines. Such regulations will mean no further import of high emission outboards.  This media release includes details of industry and AMEC contacts for further comment, as well as a link to the relevant page on the Minister's website.

2013-14  TROUT  SEASON   REPORT by Adrian Webb

Well the 2013-14 season is now over and a new one will be back soon enough, but I don't mind the three month break as it will give me time to get the body right for the 2014-15 season. I may make a couple trips to Loongana and give the Leven River a spin session as it is still open above the Loongana Bridge up until midnight 1st June 2014. We'll just wait and see for now.

Great Finish to the 2013-2014 Trout Season 27/4/2014

What a great day it was for the last day of the 2013-14 Trout Season with clear skies and hardly a breath of wind. Certainly glad it was the reverse of yesterdays gale force winds and freezing conditions and 9 degrees. I decided to head on back to the Dasher River for the last day as it fished fairly well two days ago and had a reasonable amount of water flow to it.

Honda Celebrates 50 Years With Its Biggest Ever Sale

Honda Australia is celebrating its 50th Anniversary during 2014, and as a result the company is giving away up to $2,500 ‘Honda Dollars’ with the purchase of selected Honda outboards during the months of May & June. Honda has never offered savings like this, and Honda Marine national manager, Chris New, sees it as the perfect head-start Australian boaters want as they approach Boat Show season.

Small reward for the time spent in the Meander River 14/4/2014

Left for the Meander River this morning in bright sunshine and very cool conditions in the hope of picking up a few nice browns that will be in an aggressive mood. On my arrival at Meander it was still calm and sunny and around 8 degrees which was fine. I soon had the waders and boots etc on and was just reaching my entry point to the river when up came the wind and then the cloud moved in with it. I couldn't believe it, how come it's waited for me to hit the river and then decided to change to these conditions. I was glad that I left my jumper on that's for sure.
