Recreational Sea Fishing Guide
The 2014-15 Recreational Sea Fishing Guide is now available! Pick up a copy from Service Tasmania outlets, tackle shops or read it online. Fishers can use the Guide to check up on bag, size and possession limits before they head out fishing this season.

Licences

Recreational sea fishing licences for abalone, rock lobster, scallops, nets and set lines are now available from Service Tasmania and online.

Rock Lobster Season Dates
The recreational rock lobster fishery in the Eastern Region will open on 15 November 2014, (the third Saturday in November). The Western Region opened last Saturday, 1 November.

Squid Seasonal Closure
There is currently a squid and calamari closure in place for recreational and commercial fishers for waters from the southern end of Wineglass Bay south to the northern end of Marion Bay Beach until the area re-opens on 15 November.

The closure is to protect spawning calamari in defined east coast waters.
