Tonic releases Blue Mirror Limited Edition
Tonic Polarised Eyewear, the new leader in high quality fishing sunglasses, has released a special Blue Mirror Limited Edition. Available in Tonic’s popular Evo and Shimmer frame styles, the Limited Edition is a stylish solution for high-glare conditions. The Blue Mirror lenses were specially developed for Australian anglers and outdoor enthusiasts, and share their high-tech optics with all of Tonic’s growing range of lightweight polarised optical glass lenses.
Since it was launched into the fishing and boating market just over two years ago by founder Doug Phillips, Tonic has amazed its customers with the wonders of 21st century optics.
Tonic’s unique VistaView de-centred lenses represent the culmination of Doug Phillips’ 27-year quest to constantly push the boundaries of optical technology.
In 1992, after six years learning the optics of high-end safety glasses, he applied the best technology then available to what became Australia’s favourite polarised fishing sunglasses.
Fast forward 17 years and Doug was convinced the latest 21st century optical technology from Japan could take sunglasses to a whole new level – and Tonic was born.
To create Tonic, he adopted Japan’s two big optical breakthroughs of the past decade: unprecedented wrap-around clarity and exceptionally lightweight glass lenses.
“After leaving my previous company, I spent two years developing Tonics, and I can safely say they are the best sunglasses I have ever designed,” he said.
“Using the latest glass formulations and lens grinding technologies from Japan, we have created a lighter, more optically pure lens than traditional technology allowed.
“Our unique de-centred VistaView lens gives distortion-free viewing at any angle, and our scratch resistant UltraOptic lenses are just 1.8 mm thick, which makes them 30% lighter.
“Combine this with our MultiCut full-spectrum anti-reflective coating and our comfortable lightweight frames, and we deliver fatigue-free all-day vision in even the fiercest glare – people can hardly believe their eyes.”
Tonic Polarised Eyewear is now available in eight wraparound styles, including the Evo and Rush with ClikStrap removable and adjustable safety strap.
