Barnacle encrusted Mercury Outboard starts

A barnacle encrusted Mercury outboard recovered some 200 nautical miles off Dampier in Western Australia, started after spending months underwater. Marine Engineer Matt Giles was working on the Offshore Support Vessel “Far Shogun” when an upturned tinnie was spotted in the water. “It was a 3.2m Stacer and going by the barnacles and other marine growth on the hull it looked as if it (and the engine) had been underwater for a few months at least,” he said.

Alvey Roof Rack Rod Holders

Carrying  fishing rods in a bull bar style rod holder can be distracting to the driver of the vehicle.
The NEW Alvey Rod Holders are attached to the ends of your cross bar roof rack system. This keeps your rod and reel combos rigged ready to fish on the side of the vehicle.
Easy to get at to go fishing , no vision impairment to the driver . For highway driving or beach driving the rods and reels are secure and easy to reach from the side of the vehicle. Strap rods on to the holders with Alvey Rod wraps.

Tonic goes high fashion with new styles

Tonic Polarised Eyewear, the new leader in high quality fishing sunglasses, has added two new high-fashion frame styles to its range of high-performance sunglasses.
The new Torquay and Cove styles are on sale now at Tonic’s 200-plus retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand.
