Little Pine 12/10/2013

John Fordham and myself decided to head up the lakes mid friday afternoon, plenty of wind forcast along with a few showers. Hopefully we should find somewhere sheltered to have a flick. We arrived at Dereks Shack, unloaded the gear and went for a drive to check out some possibles. We came back to the shack and settled down for the night, watched TV and some video’s and decided we would head for Little Pine.

Bronte Lagoon and Little Pine Lagoon

On Sunday we went for a look at Bronte Lagoon. We were on the water about 10.30 am fished for 3 hours .
We got four, the fish were in good condition. Then packed up and went to Little Pine on the way home. We were there about 3pm left at 5 pm we got another five fish in good condition. We were using mainly Shreks. The fish in the Esky in photo are from Bronte.
The ones on the stones are from Little Pine. The weather and conditions were favourable, overcast and a slight breeze.
Regards Derek

Little Pine Lagoon Car Park Improvements

As part of ongoing investment in infrastructure at popular waters IFS has recently upgraded the car park at the Little Pine Lagoon dam wall.
Little Pine Lagoon is arguably Tasmania’s premier fly fishing water and is currently the 5th most popular lake fishery in the state based on angler numbers and effort. The parking area is well patronised by anglers fishing the Untouchables Shore and Western Shores of the lagoon.

Little Pine Lagoon

Little Pine Lagoon situated on the Marlborough Highway between Miena and Bronte.  Declared a fly fishing only water, it is rightly regarded as one of the premier fly fishing lakes in Australia.
