Lady Lake 5/11/2011
Took a stroll up Higgs track Saturday to have a look about and of course had to wet a line, the walk up the mountain is just under 4 km and a bit testing but the scenery is breathtaking, it took Ally and I 1 hour 45 minutes to get up and 40 minutes to get back down.
As you can see in the photo's there is a great little hut there that would make a great base camp for fishing the Chudleigh Lakes region, will being doing that later for sure.
Lady Lake is maybe 100 metres long and wide and has a creek in and out, the water is crystal clear so needs to be approached very carefully, I only fished it for half an hour, because I spent too much time exploring (I was like a kid in a candy store) and failed to turn a fish but did see 3 rise, would love to have been there on evening, maybe next time will spend the night. And wander a bit further the next day.
