Lighten up

Craig Rist
Tightening up onto a big fish in a river is a great feeling with those first few seconds of uncertainty, as to what the fish might do, as it powers off after setting the hook. Will it head straight for the nearest submerged tree or swim out into open water. Instinctively you lay the rod on its side to lead the fish away from the submerged tree, the rod nearly bends in half under the shear weight and power of this fish as it now races downstream with the flow of the river. You turn the fish just before it reaches rapids; it then slogs it out deep in the middle of the pool, each beat of the tail getting slower and slower. Hello everyone, I thought it would be a good time to introduce myself.

Tasmania - The Haunt of the Giant Trout

A very rare and superb little booklet. Bob Dunn's original sold for $1000 and a good copy would probably bring more now. It was reproduced in the 1980, perhaps by Jack Kelly, in black and white.

A superb front cover is followed by black and white leaves with small green images overlaid on the bottom corners. It is unique the way this was done and digital technology has allowed us to reproduce a facsimile of this booklet in a way that was not possible previously. This will become a collector's item very quickly. Printed on archival paper. Size is 210 mm x 148 mm. Available now.
Limited to just one hundred, numbered copies. $110
